BBC launches iPlayer on the Apple iPhone

Fancy some live streaming on-demand TV while you are out and about? You do?

Well the answer is the BBC has launched their iPlayer, which has been optimised for the Apple iPhone with H.264 feed and 512Kbps as well, as long as you live in the UK.

There’s no Flash or application, all that’s needed is to hit the iPlayer site with your iPhone Safari browser and watch the BBC TV shows available. That’s it, easy; aren’t we Brits so lucky? The BBC iPlayer for the iPhone is still in beta, but that is better than nothing.
