HTC Touch Pro finally with Alltel

Alltel has released the HTC Touch Pro smartphone, a Windows Mobile, QWERTY packing smartphone that carries a price tag of $279.99 on contract with a $100.00 rebate, which is far better than paying $299.99 to T-Mobile for a Wing on contract.

The Alltel HTC Touch Pro looks to be basically a Sprint version of the smartphone but with a tweaked TouchFLO 3D UI, which comes out either prettier or uglier than the stock build depending on your preference.

Other than the minor tweaking of the TouchFLO 3D UI, and of course the Alltel branding, there isn’t a great deal of difference between this version and any other version of the HTC Touch Pro.

The phone has all the fetures that you could want. The only draw back is the battery life itself. I dont do much of anything except text and use it as a basic phone and I have days where the battery is dead before I get off work.

I do alot of traveling and I would not want a phone that dont have the staying power to keep intouch with your family as they tend to worry when you are traveling. I have seen many other smart phone with simular capabilities and they dont have the issue with the battery life as I do with this one.
