Microsoft not making major move to Apple iPhone platform

Microsoft has launched their Seadragon Mobile application on the Apple iPhone and Apple iPod Touch; however, Microsoft developers don’t foresee Microsoft building a huge amount of new applications for the Apple iPhone.

Microsoft’s Seadragon Mobile is available free from the iTunes App Store and is mainly focussed on images allowing an iPhoner to zoom close up and out with finger gestures while using Microsoft’s deep zoom tech.

However, Seadragon Mobile can be extended to other data and is really suited to cloud computing scenarios of large volumes so shouldn’t be considered as Microsoft making a major shift towards the Apple iPhone platform.
