Verizon Hub announced as landline killer for Feb 1st

The Verizon Hub, so far there hasn’t been a great deal of info on this one, that is until now it’s been officially announced and the details are now hitting the net waves.

The Verizon Hub packs a seven inch touchscreen display and works with Verizon wireless customers mobile phones and thus eliminates the need to use a landline. The general idea is the Verizon Hub syncs the user’s contacts, maps, calendars, weather and traffic reports through broadband, and can also send driving directions to the user’s mobile phone and send and receive text messages.

The Verizon Hub becomes available as of the 1st of Feb and will cost $200 after a $50 rebate and will require a $35 per month subscription fee. Subscribers will also need to reside in an E911 capable area.
