Landline phone numbers for mobile phones launched by O2

A new service providing small businesses with a landline number that rings straight to a mobile phone has been announced by O2.

Fixed Number Anywhere has been announced by O2, the first service of its kind to be offered in the UK by a major mobile provider. The service is launching in August, allowing small businesses who maintain a landline number to show their customers that they are local and established, but spend long periods away from their desks. Allowing these companies to minimise missed calls whilst eliminating expensive call diverts.

Small businesses using Fixed Number Anywhere, can still keep their existing BT telephone number, or choose from a new number, and up to five landline numbers can be linked to the same mobile. Businesses bringing their existing 01 or 02 numbers to O2 and taking a new mobile connection, will receive this service for free. The service for 0808 free phone numbers will be £15 per month with 01 or 02 numbers being £10 per month.
