Deutsche Telecom AG reports increased profit in 2nd quarter

Europe’s largest telephone company, Deutsche Telecom AG, has reported a 2nd quarter increased profit of 32%, and has reaffirmed its forecasts to improve their operations within the Unites States and the United Kingdom reports Bloomberg.

Deutsche Telecom AG’s net income rose to €521 million from €394 million a year previous Deutsche Telecom AG has said. Sales rose to €16.2 billion from €15.1 billion.

Deutsche Telecom AG has stated that measures to turn round under-performing units are beginning to take effect, and they have frozen salaries in the United States, reduced advertising in Poland, replaced management in the United Kingdom and put some investments on hold.
