Palm Pre News: New on-screen keyboard

Questions were put to you regarding the Palm Pre asking what if anything you would like to see different in it.

One thing mentioned was a virtual keyboard, although maybe this particular group of respondents should quit the bellyaching because as we all know the Pre already has one, doesn’t it?

Okay, so it doesn’t really offer particularly useful keys. But thanks to the modders at WebOS Internals that’s now changing. They are taking the control that pops up when you press the ‘sym’ key and expanding it to contain symbols that you may actually use more than once a week. They have at the moment a functional keyboard that works in both phone orientations, only those with delicate thumbs are blistering on the Pre’s keys. Maybe by the end of the month everyone can by soft typing blister free.
