As the BlackBerry OS 5.0.0.190 is surfacing for the BlackBerry Bold and Curve 8900 we finally have what we’ve all been waiting for.
Yes we’ve got actual proof that RIM will be bringing threaded SMS straight to the BlackBerry, why oh why has it taken so long who knows. But when the OS 5.0 officially rolls out in the weeks or months ahead then at that the point we will have to suffer the long standing pain no more. It’s still unofficial so far.
We are all hoping that RIM can find a way of making backwards compatible to older OS platforms. We’ve seen so far OS 5.0 fro devices originally shipped with either OS 4.6 or 4.7, we’re sure that there are a huge amount of BlackBerry Curve and Pearl users out there that would die for this.
