AT&T Will Not roll out iPhone tethering until 2010

Tethering on the iPhone may not be such a big deal for most but it does come in handy is say your home cable/DSL drops. We know tethering on the AT&T network works as its been done via Apple software since iPhone 3.0 betas, but still AT&T delays rolling out tethering for the iPhone reports 9to5mac.

Many believed iPhone tethering would come by the end of this year; however the guys received a note for an AT&T spokesperson that told them to correct a post which said AT&T will deliver tethering in 2009.

The AT&T note stated… Just reading again — where did anyone promise tethering by EOY? Where did you see that? We promised MMS by end of summer and ended up being a few days late for that…

And that was it, so basically it looks like tethering for the iPhone won’t come from AT&T until sometime after Christmas…so 2010.
