A series of comic and pop-art protective coatings are on their way to the iPhone, iPod Touch and laptops according to an article over on the iphone blog.

These new protective coatings created by Dark Horse Comics and Gelaskins come in the form of Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8, Hell Boy, Angel and others, and they say these iPhone 3GS skins are bold and beautiful.

However, these new skins will not protect the iPhone from severe impact but will protect against abrasions and scrapes and each skins comes with matching wallpaper available to download, and they command a price tag of $14.95 each.
