If you are a BlackBerry smartphone owner then all the rage is with the release of BlackBerry OS 5.0, but some older BlackBerry handsets won’t be seeing the OS 5.0 update reports Crackberry.
The official list that will be gaining BlackBerry OS 5.0 is…BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8200 series, BlackBerry Curve 8330, Curve 8350i, Curve 8900, BlackBerry Bold 9000, BlackBerry Tour 9630 and the BlackBerry Storm 9630.
Apparently the “kill point” for OS 5.0 update is in the memory whereby BlackBerry smartphones are required to have more than 64MB of memory. The BlackBerry Curve 8520 is missing from the list which is probably an oversight as it will no doubt get OS 5.0 as well.
