There have been rumours of the Snapdragon packing HTC Passion/Dragon sporting Android hitting before the year is out for some time now, but as yet the only Android 2.0 toting handset this year is the Motorola Droid on Verizon.

However, according to digitimes, it doesn’t look like the HTC Passion/Dragon will hit before the end of the year but will more then likely be seen early in 2010 due apparently to HTC still tweaking the handset’s software.

Rumoured specs for the HTC Passion/Dragon are that it will pack a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, sport Android 2.0 or possibly Android 2.1 by the time it hits, and have a 3.5 inch multi-touch OLED display.

Apparently there is also a claim that HTC will announce a new Android handset which sports a QWERTY and may be called the HTC Espresso at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February.
