Acer Liquid A1 Gains FCC Approval Possibly for AT&T

Apparently Acer’s first Android operating smartphone, the Acer Liquid A1 has now gained approval by the FCC and will come packing 850/1900 MHz HSDPA, which is of course compatible with AT&T’s 3G network according to an article over on unwired view.

Of course this doesn’t guarantee AT&T will gain the Acer Liquid A1, but it does tend to go further towards those rumours that have been floating about that AT&T will carry the 1GH Snapdragon toting smartphone.

Apparently though the word is that Snapdragon has been underclocked to 768 MHz; however the Acer Liquid A1 does pack a 3.5 inch WVGA touch screen, 5 megapixel camera, GPS, WiFi, 3.5mm jack and social networking access.

So there it is, it is looking strong that the Acer Liquid A1 smartphone will end up going with AT&T, although it hasn’t been confirmed.
