Free VIN Scanner Announced for iPhone and Android

The first approved automotive VIN Scanning app for Android based smartphones and the iconic iPhone has been announced by Autoniq, and is a free VIN Scanner to Autoniq subscribers reports an article over on prweb.

The Autoniq VIN Scanner App will work with such smartphones as the iPhone 3GS, Google Nexus One, Motorola Droid, Motorola CLIQ, Samsung Moment, HTC Hero, HTC Droid Eris and the T-Mobile myTouch 3G and others.

The Autoniq VIN Scanner application delivers to auto dealer’s instant access to information they require and delivers the ability to scan a VIN barcode on your mobile handset.

Autoniq president, Thomas Marr has said dealers will no longer need to carry pricing guides or call for a vehicle history or rely on a paint metre to determine if a vehicle has been involved in an accident as the information will be on their mobile phone via the VIN Scanner app.
