Nokia N900 gets Mozilla Firefox

News out this weekend is that Mozilla has let loose its first completed version of Firefox mobile.

This newest version apparently works with Nokia’s Maemo 5 based devices and its intention was initially for the Nokia N900. The developers have promised a browser that is more powerful than all the other well at least most of the others.

It will give users features that are closer to the desktop and will include tabbed browsing, some extensions and also bookmark syncing through Weave. There is also support for add ons which allows the N900 play YouTube or other components without having to leave the web.

Firefox is already in an alpha state for Windows Mobile and development is already underway for Android. Sadly with policy restrictions in the way there are no versions available for iPhone or BlackBerry. Source – electronista.com
