Video: Quake 2 and 3 Ported to Android Motorola Droid

We have a video demo for your viewing pleasure today of the full Quake 2 and Quake 3 Arena games being ported over to Android and running on the Motorola Droid smartphone courtesy of the guys over at android and me.

The video demo which can be viewed below last almost four minutes and the demonstrator starts off by saying the port would probably work on the Nexus One as well as the Motorola Droid but beings the Nexus One lacks a physical keyboard it would make playing difficult.

The port was the full Quake 3 game with multiplayer support and the user can use the touch screen and customise all the controls. He also says the game runs between 20 and 30 frames per second on the Motorola Droid.

Still rather than me going on I’m quite sure you’d rather head on down and hit play if you haven’t already done so, so hit up the video and enjoy.
