The market share lead that RIM has over Apple has been shrinking and it is now estimated that Apple may be in a position to overtake RIM’s market share by as early as 2011.

It is estimated that the Mobile phone business constitutes about 52% of the $267 Trefis price estimate for Apple’s stock and around 50% of the $77 Trefis price estimated for RIMs stock.

Apple’s ecosystem of consumer products including the Mac, iPad and even Apple TV and also their services such as iTunes and iPhone applications make the iPhone a little more appealing compared to the BlackBerry.
