iPhone, iPad and Apple are the “Enemy of the Future” Says Nintendo

Back in November, the president of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata said that the iconic iPhone was not a competitor; you can read our report on that (here). Well now things seem to have changed slightly on that front as reported by an article over on the Times Online.

Nintendo’s Satoru Iwata has now apparently changed his mind over the iPhone, iPad and Apple and has told senior execs to regard the battle with Sony as “a victory already won” and that they should treat Apple, the iPhone and iPad as the “enemy of the future.”

Apparently Nintendo saw profits drop for the first time in 6 years and are thus gearing up to “unleash the full force” of their marketing and developing prowess against iPhone and iPad maker Apple.

The iPhone has surfaced as a formidable competitor against Nintendo in the gaming arena, and games developers seem to prefer the iPhone platform over the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP as we reported (here)

So it looks like Nintendo has drawn up the battle lines and intends to take on Apple and its iPhone and iPad in the gaming wars, but which platform do you prefer, Apple, Nintendo or Sony?
