iPhone 4 “Antenn-aid” Solution is a Hit

In what appears to have started off as a fun jibe at Apple and the iPhone 4 antenna issue, two guys came up with a sticking plaster to cover the iPhone 4 gap and thus solve the antennagate problem.

However, according to an article over on the Inquirer by way of the New York Times, the “Antenn-aid” bandages, small colourful stickers that can be placed over the iPhone 4 weak spot, designed by Szymon Weglarski and Jon Dorfman seem to have become a hit.

This solution is apparently moving so fast Dorfman says, “We put the site up late Friday night and we’re getting a new order every minute.”

Originally the guys offered the “Antenn-aid” stickers individually but soon found that was inefficient and so offer a 6 pack of assorted colours at a price of $5 plus shipping. Weglarski told the NYT, “We haven’t done any official testing, but it does seem to improve the antenna problem. You don’t drop as many bars as it’s really about separating metal from flesh.”
