Is Apple Censorship and Rejection of Apps Going Too Far?

You are probably aware of Apple’s stance of “adult material” being included in applications in their App Store. Apple has basically purged all what they deem as “objectionable content” from their store and have a rigorous acceptance system in place.

But do Apple over step the mark when it comes to censorship and rejections? Maybe so, as according to an article over on Techradar, Apple rejected an application due to it showing a picture of America’s Next Top Model, Lyudmila Bouzinova.

Apparently DLP Mobile submitted their “Mirror App” which was rejected by Apple because of the Lyudmila Bouzinova, image and were told by Apple that the included shots of Lyudmila Bouzinova were “obscene, pornographic, and defamatory.”

Strong words to describe the rejected image which you can see about don’t you think? Personally I see nothing wrong with the picture, unless showing a naked shoulder is classified as pornographic by Apple. Apparently though, once the Lyudmila Bouzinova image was removed from the App, Apple allowed it into their App Store.

So what do you think readers, is Apple taking censorship and rejection of apps a little too far?
