HTC Desire Coming to US Cellular on 27th

Numerous mobile phone carriers the globe over are turn to more android devices for their network and one of those networks is US Cellular who are about to gain an Android device in the form of the HTC Desire smartphone.

According to an article over on Engadget Mobile by Chris Ziegler, although US Cellular has just launched the Samsung Acclaim they are now gaining the HTC Desire as of the 27th of August although no word of price as yet.

US Cellular mention that the HTC Desire will come packing Android 2.1 so obviously it won’t launch packing the Froyo OS. Back in June US Cellular apparently promised up to four Android devices for their customers in 2010 but have apparently upped the game to five.

The other big Android smartphone being the Samsung Galaxy S handset which is due to launch on US Cellular sometime in October with 2 LG Android handsets “following closely behind.”
