Samsung Galaxy S i909 Destined for China Gets Pictured

The newest member to enter the Samsung Galaxy S range will have both GSM and CDMA/EV-Do connectivity, and is the Samsung i909 handset but unfortunately won’t be available in the west, as apparently this particular Samsung Galaxy S device is destined for China Telecom.

According to an article over on Unwired View by Florin and by way of PC Online, the Samsung Galaxy S i909 probably won’t see daylight on any carriers outside China, but then there are plenty of Galaxy S devices already in the west.

Spec wise apparently this Chinese version of the Samsung Galaxy S packs a 4 inch WVGA touch screen, 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus, Bluetooth 3.0 and GOS like its No9rth American and European cousins but also packs 16GB of internal memory and WAPI.

Word has it the Samsing i909 will sport the Android 2.1 operating system, but there’s every chance it could see an update to Android 2.2 Froyo at some point. No word on just when the Samsung i909 will become available or how much it will command.
