Google Street View and Walking Navigation beta for Android Available

Google has now rolled out their Street View smart navigation app along with Google Walking Navigation beta for Android smartphone that run Android 1.6 and above, with the Google Walking Navigation beta being bundles into Maps for Mobile 4.5.

According to Darren Murph of Engadget and by way of the Google Mobile Blog, Street View delivers the same gear that people are used to seeing on the Desktop browser but optimised for Mobile. Google Walking Navigation beta delivers a “more robust” routing option when taking a walk and features a “vibrate to turn” alert and maps rotate as you turn your smartphone.

We also have a video of Street View Smart navigation for your viewing pleasure which can be viewed below and lasts almost a minute, so hit that play button if you wish to check it out.

As soon as I came across this article I downloaded both to my Samsung Galaxy S and I checked out Google Street View Smart Navigation and have to say it’s pretty sweet, although I haven’t had the chance to check out the Walking Navigation beta just yet.
