Over in the good ole US of A the Samsung Galaxy S variants such as the Samsung Epic 4G, Samsung Fascinate and Samsung Vibrant are supposed to be updating to Android 2.2 Froyo with a promise of this happening since September with the last promise being in December.
Well according to an article over on Ubergizmo by way of The Droid Guy, Samsung US have the Epic 4G, Vibrant and Fascinate listed on their website as having Android 2.2 Froyo; however apparently it was all one big mistake and now those devices have been returned to showing Android 2.1.
So if you happened to visit the Samsung website over the last couple of days and are expecting the Android 2.2 Froyo update to hit your Samsung Epic, Samsung Vibrant or Samsung Fascinate in the immediate future you can forget it.
Of course you can always hit up Samsung to voice your total annoyance at their continued failure and complete incompetence to deliver the Froyo update o your chosen device, but that probably won’t get the update onto your smartphone any sooner.
Thus it would appear that Samsung has let their users down so if you wish to vent, rant, generally pull your hair out over your thoughts as to why Sammy can’t push the Froyo update out feel free to scream and shout or slag off Samsung to your hearts content in our comments area.
