For all those in Latin America that have been sitting patiently waiting to get their hands on Motorola’s Xoom tablet and Atrix superphone, for some the wait has finally come to an end.
We can reveal to all you gadget lovers in Latin America that the turbocharged devices are now shipping to Brazil, Mexico and Argentina. However, there could be delays in the Android 3.0 Honeycomb Motorola Xoom tablet getting to Brazil and Mexico as suggested by Droid Matters, coming to us via Engadget.
But, don’t despair as Droid Matters go on to state that in Brazil the Atrix has already launched at Vivo stores in Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia and Sao Paulo on April 15, and the Xoom is expected to launch in Vivo sometime in May. Unfortunately, for now Mexico will only be getting the Motorola Atrix and will launch on Telcel’s network by the end of April. However, to date there is no word on when the Xoom will launch on Mexican soil.
However, we have good news for those living in Argentina the Xoom tablet PC’s are available for pre-order at $3599 via carrier Personal. For those in Latin America unable to get their hands on the Motorola Xoom at present, perhaps poking around with a docked Atrix will satisfy your gadget needs for now.
