Droid Bionic Experiencing Media Issues

One would have though judging by the amount of delay time the Motorola Droid Bionic took to hit the public arena, the Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread device would come out to play without any problems in tow, however apparently that doesn’t appear to be the case as word has it the Droid Bionic is experience some issues with media.

According to an article over on Engadget by way of the Motorola Support forums, over the past several days reports have been coming in that Motorola Droid Bionic owners have been experiencing a “high-pitched whine” during media playback via headphones.

The original Droid Bionic owner posted to the forum, “I’m hearing a high pitched noise when listening to media (streaming music, youtube, podcasts…) through my headphones. Thought maybe is was a headphone issue but I tried a few different sets. Even picked up a cheap pair of earbuds at radio shack, still get that high pitch. Anyone else noticing this?”

Another user posts, “I’m noticing the same issue here. It’s not terrible but it is troublesome. I can hear it click off after of a few seconds of closing out any media app. Seems like an issue with powering up the headjack.”

Another reports, “ I had a huge feedback/whine when listening to Pandora. Everything was fine until I got a notification and the whine just about blew out the PC speakers. I couldn’t hear the music at all.”

Apparently thus far it is unclear whether the issue is hardware or software, and according to the guys Motorola hasn’t yet has much to say on the matter, but no doubt they will be looking into it as that particular thread is now 18-pages long and growing, and will need to do something about the problem before numerous Droid Bionic owners return their Android handsets to the Big Red.

So we’d like to hear from our Motorola Droid Bionic owning readers out there, please feel free to let us know if you are experiencing the same issues and if so has it resolved for you or is it still continuing.
