Xperia Play To Gain Optimised Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light App

For Android mobile gamers who own the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, the word is a new Xperia Play optimised game will be coming out in time for the festive season, and that Android game will be Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light.

Sony Ericsson is adding to their growing ecosystem of in excess of 150 games for the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play and in partnership with Square Enix has announced that Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is headed exclusively to the Xperia Play and should be available sometime in November.

The head of content and marketing strategy at Sony Ericsson, Tim Harrison says, “Xperiaâ„¢ PLAY continues to redefine smartphone gaming. By bringing some of the world’s most popular console games to the Xperiaâ„¢ PLAY we’re delivering an unrivalled smartphone gaming experience,” and goes on to add, “We will continue to push the boundaries of what is possible with new games and new experiences optimized for Xperia PLAY, ensuring that consumers have the best gaming possible experience on a smartphone, whatever games they are in to.”

While the head of mobile at Square Enix Europe, Ben Cusack said, “This is just the start of what we plan to do together, but right now, we are delighted to be able to show off the full potential of our games with this innovative smartphone, bringing them to life as our creators intended.”

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play has recently become available in the United States on AT&T, and is to launch on Japan’s NTT DoCoMo sometime next month.
