Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2 Possible UK Release Date

Phones Review Quickie: When Asus announced the successor to the highly successful Asus Eee Pad Transformer, they stated that the Android Honeycomb tablet would be released before the end of the year, so a bit vague to say the least, but for those here in the United Kingdom a possible release date has now been revealed.

According to the guys over at Unwired View, UK retailer Lambda-tek has put up a product page for the Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2 with a price tag of some 448.21 quid before VAT or with VAT £537.85; however if you click on the “Check Stock” button you are shot of to another page that says…”Oops, we have run out of stock — More expected on 07/11/2011.”

Which means that if they are correct, the Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2 should release as of the 7th of November in the United Kingdom, although as far as I am aware Asus hasn’t put any confirmation on this particular date.

Spec wise the rumours are the second generation Asus Eee Pad Transforer will offer a larger touch screen, Kal-El quad core Tegra 3 processor, 1GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and run the Honeycomb operating system.

So there you have it, if the retailer is correct, those in the UK only have a couple of weeks to wait until they can grab the Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2, a slate that will no doubt be just as successful for Asus as the previous model.

So any of our UK readers thinking about grabbing the Transformer 2 once it becomes available? If so feel free to let us know by dropping us a comment to the area below.
