Asus Eee Pad Transformer sees price drop in UK

When Asus originally pushed out the Asus Eee Pad Transformer is quickly became a very popular Android tablet making rapid sales, and for those that own the Asus Eee Pad Transformer they can look forward to getting upgraded from Android 3.2 Honeycomb to Android Ice Cream Sandwich as some point, but if you are still in the market for the Asus slate but have thought it too expensive, if you are in the United Kingdom you might like to know the device is now available at a lower price.

According to an article over on Unwired View by way of the guys over at Eurodroid, as the new Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime is gearing up for release, Asus has now lowered the asking price of the Asus Eee Pad Transformer in the UK.

The price in the UK for the Asus Eee Pad Transformer has now been lowered to just 299 quid for the 16GB slate, which is a cool 80 quid of the original asking price and is available to purchase at that attractive price from both Best Buy and HMV.

If you prefer the 32GB Asus Eee Pad Transformer its going for £349, whilst the Transformer bundle option that includes the 16GB model and that keyboard dock the price is £399.

Quick spec reminder for those that may have forgotten, 10.1-inch touch screen, an NVIDIA Tegra 2 1GHz duel core processor, a 5 megapixel rear camera, a 1.2 megapixel front facing camera, Bluetooth, WiFi, 16GB and 32GB storage options and microSD expansion and currently runs Android Honeycomb OS.

One thing you should be made aware of though, the lower price deal for the Asus Eee Pad Transformer only lasts until December the 4th so if you want to take advantage of that lower price you need to act fast.
