Galaxy S2 goes white for Christmas on T-Mobile USA

If you are over in the good old US of A and get bored with the same old black coloured smartphone, and would love to have a white Samsung Galaxy S2 then you might like to know that old Samsung and T-Mobile have a little Christmas present for you, as a white version of the Android smartphone will hit T-Mobile USA in time for Christmas.

According to an article over on Slash Gear by way of Android Community, a T-Mobile rep has said the pale model of the popular Galaxy S2 will become available on their network within the next few weeks but failed to deliver on an actual availability date.

Apparently the T-Mobile rep didn’t mention anything about price for the white Samsung Galaxy S2 variant and one can presume it will be just a cosmetic addition so specs will remain the same, which will mean you’ll get that 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus touch screen, 8 megapixel camera, 1080p video, 1.5 GHz dual core processor, and Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread operating system.

As the Samsung Galaxy S II in white will offer the same as the original black model along with being able to play nice on T-Mobile’s 4G HSPA+ one could guess that the device will be priced at roughly the same $229.99 price point as the black version, but of course as soon as we have word on that price we will pass it along.

Personally I prefer a white handset to a black, but many do opt for a black device especially if they are using it for business purposes, but mostly I figure it’s down to personal preference anyway. So will you be picking up the white Samsung Galaxy S2 from T-Mobile USA once it becomes available?
