BlackBerry Shadow with webOS concept phone

Research In Motion isn’t doing too well with their BlackBerry devices as I am sure most are aware, so perhaps its time RIM considered dumping the BlackBerry platform and opting for another operating system to bolster the BlackBerry name, now the obvious choice would be Android of course all though there is always Microsoft’s Windows Phone, but how about webOS?

However unlikely it is that RIM will dump the BlackBerry platform in favour of a rival OS the guys over at Concept Phones have come up with a BlackBerry concept designed by Bob Freking called the BlackBerry Shadow, which runs on the webOS platform.

Apparently the BlackBerry Shadow would still retain some functions of the BlackBerry operating system such as BlackBerry Messenger with the devices powered by an ARM15 1GHz dual core processor, with a display approximately 4 to 4.5 inches, and an 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash.

Taking things somewhat beyond the realms of reality, the designer says that the BlackBerry Shadow would feature “glow line” to its rear that have the ability to read a users thoughts, yet well I’ll let you figure that one out.

Mind reading feature aside, do you think a BlackBerry smartphone sporting the failed webOS operating system would make a success in today’s mobile space or do you think a better option would be for RIM or fully adopt Android?
