The first of events in 2012 is due to take place on the 10th January in Las Vegas, that of the CES show. Ahead of the show, Pantech’s new LTE tablet has been seen by the name of the Element, benefiting from being waterproof.

With US carrier AT&T including the new Element in their range, features to the new slate include an 8-inch screen, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 16GB of memory, running on Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS and according to socialbarrel.com, a 5MP rear camera and 2MP to the front.

Although there isn’t a great deal to report on at this stage, we can tell you that the new waterproof Pantech will set you back $300 on a two-year contract, whilst a stand-alone price will be that of $450, with a release date of around January 15th.

Any updates throughout the forthcoming CES show will be of course be brought to you.
