BlackBerry 7.1 OS update, customer thoughts

Just announced at the Las Vegas CES event, Canadian company with the collaboration of US carrier Verizon have just let the world know about their new BlackBerry Curve 9370 smartphone, which is hoped to fend off rival competition from some of the big names already out there. One of its main features to entice users is that of the new BlackBerry 7 OS which has been a long time coming.

Back in June 2011, makers of BlackBerry “Research in Motion” (RIM) announced that the new 7 OS would be available, bringing with it an extended list of new features. These comprised of a new and easy to use UI, improved browser, video support for HTML5 and as pocketnow.com reported, universal voice searches.

According to pocketnow.com, the new updated version of BlackBerry’s OS, that of 7.1 will also be joined with new versions of BlackBerry’s Messenger service that of BBM version 6.1, bringing with it new benefits of tag support, BlackBerry Travel/Traffic/Maps, mobile hot spotting for up to five WiFi devices and so on. The new update has already started with a push to carry it out over the next few weeks,

What are your thoughts towards the new update? Have you been waiting patiently for its arrival? Is the update enough to engage BlackBerry users?
