Droid Bionic needs ICS not odd 5.9.902 update

The Motorola Droid Bionic 5.9.901 update hit the public, but now there is a new one heading out to testers sometime today called 5.9.902. Personally the Droid Bionic needs ICS not the odd 5.9.902 update.

The new update has a few changes, which are a little weird, and not a lot has changed from the 5.9.901 build. It is good to see that they have changed a few things though such as removing a little piece of bloatware, and exchanging it for the Amazon MP3 app, other than that the rest is a little weird.

Changes Made: The removal of VCast Music preload, the Motorola Terms and Conditions screen will not automatically enable data location and collection details, the Google security patch will block access to change Home panel icons. After factory reset, location consent screen shown on activation screen, and last but not least the update has changed the ‘Terms and Condition’ screen title to “Motorola Terms of Service”.

Changes such as de-cluttering the camera would be nice, many Droid Bionic users went over to the 901-update and have seen a vast improvement to data drops that was happening on the 893-update. Just seems weird what the new 5.9.902 update gives.

We would love to know if anyone’s received information on the .902 update? Do you like the idea of removed VCast music in favour of Amazon MP3?

Call us mad, you probably will; but if the Android Ice cream Sandwich update is released for the Droid Bionic in June (Speculated), will you forget about .902 and wait?

So many questions, so we will leave you to ponder on a few answers.
