BlackBerry Bold 9790 on Vodafone UK, decision time

For the BlackBerry Faithful here in the United Kingdom who might have been waiting to get their hands on the BlackBerry Bold 9790 on the Vodafone network it appears that your wait to grab the BlackBerry smartphone has now come to an end as the handset is now available to purchase from Vodafone UK.

Smaller than the BlackBerry Bold 9900, the BlackBerry Bold 9790 offers the user a 2.45-inch touch screen along with physical QWERTY keyboard, 1GHz processor, 5 megapixel auto-focus camera with LED flash, 8GB internal storage, 768MB RAM, and BlackBerry OS 7.

The BlackBerry Bold 9790 is available from Vodafone as a free handset when purchasing a 2-year term at £30 per month for which you receive 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB data, however if you opt for a £36 per month option those minutes are boosted up to 1000, or you can opt for £41 a month which will get you 1200 minutes along with all the rest.

Vodafone is the second carrier in the UK to release the BlackBerry Bold 9790, the first was O2, but as yet no other UK network has decided to offer the smartphone.

What we’d like to know from our readers out there is if you would consider picking up the BlackBerry Bold 9790, or whether you think that the Bold line has just about had its day and that perhaps people are losing interest in RIM handsets. 1. I was waiting a long time for the Blackberry Bold 9790… when it was out by Rogers i found a dealer online and got myself a Blackberry Bold 9790 from Rogers… i needed to unlock it to use my new Blackberry with my Vodafone sim card but it’s very easy to unlock Blackberry phones so it all went OK and i’m very happy with my Blackberry Bold 9790.
