Android app controls ceiling speaker light

It would appear that gone are the days when you need to get up to alter your lights as soon you could be able to change the brightness of a room ceiling light whilst streaming music via its inbuilt speaker and all controlled via an application on your Android smartphone.

We have a video of the NEC concept LED ceiling light with integrated speaker for your viewing consideration below courtesy of the guys over at DigInfoTV, which delivers just over a minute and a half of checking out the system in action along with explaining the details.

The system works over Bluetooth to stream music from an Android device to the light’s speaker, whilst the application also controls certain aspects of the lighting like colour temperature and brightness, and is also possible to create synchronised light and sound effects, with users being able to pick natural, active or relaxed mode to suit their mood.

The system apparently allows light and sound to be spread from the centre of a room across the entire space, and although still in development, NEC is aiming to release the LED ceiling light with integrated speaker and Android app sometime this year.

So there you go, all you need do now is head on down and hit that play button to check out the ceiling speaker light and Android app in action, and feel free to let us know if this kind of thing floats your boat by dropping us a comment below…enjoy.
