Wishtel IRA tablets worlds first Indian language slates

If you are over in India and would love an Android or Linux tablet that supports the Indian language, you luck is now in because the world’s first Android or Linux tablets that offers an Indian language experience have now been made available to purchase and are called the Wishtel IRA and Wishtel IRA Thing tablets.

According to the guys over at Ubergizmo, Wishtel along with VIA Technologies have now announced the release of the world’s first Indian language Android or Linux tablets that enable the user to experience entertainment, rich computing, and Internet in the native Indian language, such as Hindi.

Apparently both the Wishtel IRA and IRA Thing Android slates are 7-inch touch screen tablets with a capacitive or resistive display, along with a built in camera of some description, 720p video support, 3G WCDMA EVDO USB dongle support, USB 2.0, Bluetooth, WiFi, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread or Linux (native Indian language).

Word is the Wishtel tablets battery is good for up to four hours of life, and are available to purchase nationwide as of right now commanding a price tag of between INR 4,000 and INR 5,500, which is roughly US$80 to US$100.

Other than that, nothing else is known about the Wishtel IRA and Wishtel IRA Thing tablets (strange name to call a tablet ‘Thing’ don’t you think,) anyway if you really want a 7-inch slate that supports the native Indian language you can now purchase one.
