Sold Out – HTC One X on AT&T online

Those in the U.S. had to wait a little more patiently than others for the hotly anticipated HTC One X. It was no surprise then that after its sales success elsewhere it has also been popular at AT&T since it finally released recently. There’s bad news today though if you’re just about to make your purchase for this phone, as for now at least, the HTC One X on AT&T online is sold out.

A look at the AT&T website today shows the HTC One X as out of stock and that applies to both color variants. We’re not sure how long AT&T has been sold out or how long it will take before stocks come back in. This is bound to cause some consternation among potential customers who may have been hanging on to see what the Samsung Galaxy S3 might have to offer and had just decided to opt for the HTC One X. Of course, just because the phone is out of stock online doesn’t mean that consumers won’t be able to find it in retail stores.

You can check out the AT&T pages for yourself for the gray variant here or the white variant here. The news was brought to our attention by Android Central and of course what we really want to know now is, has the phone been phenomenally more successful than anticipated on AT&T or was there just not enough inventory to begin with? It would be pretty shocking if by the time AT&T launched the HTC One X the stocks were simply too low.

As a brief recap we’ll tell you that the HTC One X for AT&T has a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor, 4G LTE connectivity, 4.7-inch HD display, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, an 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front-facing shooter. It runs on the latest Android 4.0 ICS operating system so as you can see there’s a lot to be impressed with. You may then decide that you’re willing to wait for it to become available again online, that is if you can’t track down one in-store. The price is $199.99 on the usual two-year contract.

We’d like to hear your thoughts on this. Were you about to purchase the HTC One X on AT&T? If you’ve already noticed it was sold out online then have you managed to find one in-store? Let us know by sending your comments using the box below.
