Accelerating Nokia Asha 305, 306 and 311 Touch phones

Nokia has now introduced their Asha Touch range of mobile phones, and expands the Asha family of handsets with three new models, the Nokia Asha 305, Nokia Asha 306 and Nokia Asha 311, which have been designed to deliver a rich smartphone experience to customers that want to be free from short battery life and excessive data costs.

The three new Nokia Asha devices offer a redesigned touch user interface, with the Nokia Asha 311 sporting a 3-inch capacitive touch screen with scratch resistant glass, 3.2 megapixel camera, 1GHz processor, with pre-installed Nokia Maps, Angry Birds, Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR, WiFi, 256MB internal memory and microSD expansion up to 32GB, and preloaded with Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp.

The Nokia Asha 305 features a 3-inch WQVGA resistive touch screen, a 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR, dual band connectivity, exclusive Easy Swap dual SIM, Nokia Maps, Nokia Browser, 40 EA games available to download, 64MB internal memory, and microSD expansion up to 32GB.

The Nokia Asha 306 is the sister handset to the Nokia Asha 305 and has a single SIM, and offers the same features as the 305 along with WLAN and supports video streaming via both WLAN and GPRS.

The executive vice president for mobile phones at Nokia, Mary T McDowell has said that these handsets deliver on what young urban people value to most, a good looking handset with an intuitive and affordable experience for connecting to the net.

The Nokia Asha 305 is expected to begin shipping in Q2 of 2012 with an estimated retail price of €63, whilst the Nokia Asha 306 and Nokia Asha 311 are expected to being shipping in Q3 of 2012 with the Asha 306 commanding an estimated retail price of €68, whilst the Asha 311 has an estimated retail price of €92.
