Ford & MOG Sync AppLink music streaming perfection

Most people enjoy listening to a few tunes as they drive along, and if you happen to drive a Ford vehicle with the Ford AppLink system, you might like to know that Ford has now announced they have teamed with MOG to deliver their on-demand music service to Ford AppLink users.

According to the guys over at Engadget, with Ford Sync integration drivers will be able to access MOG’s streaming service that boasts a catalogue of 15 million tracks either by way of in-dash controls or by voice command, and when resuming listening to a track the music queue will auto-resume from wherever you left off.

All Ford drivers have to do is launch the MOG app via their USB connected iPhone and MOG will immediately become available, and have access to their favourite downloads and songs through the AppLink interface along with being able to access custom radio channels.

Apparently voice commands include downloads, artist only, shuffle favourites and similar artists, with downloads being available when you and in a situation where streaming is unavailable. Whilst users can also create presets based on what they are currently playing by pressing and holding one of the preset buttons in the dash.

The MOG app for Sync AppLink is available on a range of 2012 Ford models such as the Ford Mustang, Ford Fiesta, Ford Fusion, Super Duty, Expedition, E-Series, F-150, and customers are required to subscribe to MOG and sign up for a $9.99 plan, and MOG via Sync AppLink is currently only available to iOS users.
