DC Comics now available on Nook Color and Tablet

eReaders and tablets have become a big business in recent years as more consumers choose the devices to enjoy a variety of written content, and today we can tell you that DC Comics are now available on the Nook Color and Nook Tablet.

It is being reported by GottaBe Mobile that Barnes & Noble are expanding the comics that it offers its customers by adding DC Comics to its exclusive deal with Marvel. The company has announced that both graphic novels and comics are now available on the two devices, and will also be available to Android tablets via the Nook for Android app.

The company has also made it easier for users to read comics on its tablets and apps with a new feature called Zoom View. This will allow users to focus on single panels at a time, which will make it easier to follow comics and graphic novels. Reading full pages on any tablet can be difficult, but Zoom View should help with this, and the new feature will allow readers to see artwork up close.

Zoom View is available on both tablets and the Nook for Android application, and will be available in all of the new DC Comics content that has been made available. Presumably the Zoom View feature will also come to the Marvel collection of comics available on the platform as well.

The new partnership sees over 100 DC Comic titles coming to the platform that includes graphic novels such as The Sandman, Superman Earth One, Watchmen, and V for Vendetta. There are also a number of DC comics New 52 graphic available as well such as Batman, League International, Animal Man, Justice League, and Detective Comics.

There will be some users that want individual comic issues that will stick with Comixology for weekly releases, but at least they now have more options, and Comixology doesn’t receive too many graphic novels.
