This Results app will keep you informed about all the latest goings on at all of the various events and considering there are 36 sports involved at the London Olympics and 21 at the Paralympics that’s a lot to keep track of.

The app came to our attention from themobileindian.com and you can download the London 2012 Results App from Google Play here. It is compatible for devices running Android 2.1 or later and will give you the Olympic and Paralympic news, schedules and of course those all-important results. Live updates will be available as well as details on all of the sports, medal table standings by country, individual or sport and profiles of all the athletes. The live schedule enables you to find out what events are currently in progress and you can view real-time results as well as share them with friends. You can also see photos and live social commentary to find out what other people feel about the Games. The calendar schedule allows the user to set reminders and all-in-all this is great way of following the sporting achievements that will no doubt be accomplished over the next few weeks.

As an bonus we can tell you that there’s also an official London 2012 Join In app for Androids that’s also free and described as a pocket guide to the Games.
