Buy Sprint smartphone for a free ZTE Optik tablet

If you are across the pond in the United States, and in the market for a new smartphone, as long as you don’t mind having Sprint as your carrier, it appears Sprint has a sweet promo running that lets customers that purchase a new smartphone gain the ZTE Optik tablet for free, and apparently this free slate deal works with any Sprint smartphone as long as you sign up for the usual two-year agreement of course.

The guys over at Technobuffalo say they heard about this Sprint deal via an unnamed but ‘trusted source’ and that the Sprint promotion kicked off as of the 12th of this month and continues through the 30th of September, so now might just be the right time to hit up Sprint for a new handset and gain that Android slate free of charge.

The ZTE Optik tablet is an Android 3.2 Honeycomb slate that sports a 7-inch WVGA touch screen along with a 5 megapixel rear facing auto-focus camera, a 2 megapixel front facing snapper, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G, WiFi, Mobile hotspot, a 1.2GHz Snapdragon dual core processor and microSD expansion up to 32GB.

The ZTE Optik tablet measure 193 x 119.38 x 13.2mm with a weight of 400 grams and has a 4000mAh Lithium-Ion battery.

Thus if you do happen to be in the market for a new handset on the Sprint network, and would like to take advantage of a free entry level Android slate, then why not hit up Sprint during the aforementioned period and grab the ZTE Optik free when you purchase your new smartphone.

Will any of our US readers be hitting up Sprint to grab a new handset along with the ZTE Optik?
