As the whole world knows, London has just hosted the 2012 Olympics, which ended on Sunday with the closing ceremony after two weeks of fabulous sporting competition. With the end of the London Olympics 2012, the game action doesn’t stop there because the Paralympics London 2012 is due to kick off as of the 29th of this month and runs until September the 9th, and roughly 4,000 athletes with disabilities will be going for gold.

So with this in mind we thought we’d bring a couple of Paralympics London 2012 Android apps for our Android readers consideration, as we are sure the Paralympics will be just as thrilling as the London Olympics 2012 with all the highs and excitement as those athletes compete for a medal, so let’s get to those available Android Paralympic apps…

First off we have the London Para Countdown/News+ app for Android devices, an app that basically offers a countdown to the sporting competition in days, hours, minutes and seconds, along with the ability to view recent Paralympic news and a short history of the Paralympic games.

With the London Para Countdown/News+ app the user doesn’t require an internet connection, but must ensure their handset time is set correctly in order to get a perfect countdown to the start of the games, and as the application is quite small it can be moved to your SD card. For those that wish to take advantage of the London Para Countdown/News+ app you can download it for free from Google Play.

Then we have the C4 Paralympics app for Android, which is the official London 2012 Paralympics app from Channel 4, and offers the user live text commentary from every day of the Paralympic games so you can keep up to date across all sports events, along with a full schedule of the games and results as and when available.

The C4 Paralympics app also offers the latest news from the games, the latest Paralympic games images, and the latest videos including GB gold medals and highlights. For those in the United Kingdom and ROI, that would like to use the C4 Paralympics app on their Android device, you can grab the app by hitting up Google Play.

So there you go, just a couple of Android apps for the 2012 Paralympic games, will any of our readers be keeping up with all the gaming action during the sporting event?
