Samsung Galaxy S3 CWM Touch Recovery 6.0.1.9 with Warnings

If you are an owner of the popular Samsung Galaxy S3 and are into tinkering with your smartphone, you might like to learn that the ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery 6.0.1.9 for both touch and non-touch variants (I9300 and the I9305) is now available to be installed, although CWM Recovery 6.0.1.9 does come with warnings.

For those Samsung Galaxy S3 owners that would like to take advantage of what ClockworkMod Recovery 6.0.1.9 has to offer, you can download the necessary files from Android Jinn, and apparently the process of getting CWM Recovery 6.0.1.9 onto your Galaxy S3 is fairly simple, and you can check out the full tutorial on their website.

All one needs to do is download ClockworkMod Recovery 6.0.1.9 zip file, and the ODIN zip, after which you extract the files, power off your handset for a few seconds, then place the device into Download Mode.

After which you run the Odin v3.07.exe as an administrator, and then connect your handset to a pc, select the file from the extracted folder, click the PDA button an select the .tar file. Then ensure Auto Reboot, F.Reset Time are checked and also Re-Partition is checked if using a .pit file.

When ready hit the start button, and once flashing is finished the handset will auto-reboot then unplug from your pc and you are good to go.

However, one should be made aware that you can download and install either the non-touch or touch version of ClockworkMod Recovery 6.0.1.9, although the touch version is more friendly. Furthermore your Galaxy S3 doesn’t need to be rooted to flash this build, and of course flashing this build of CWM Recovery will increase the binary counter on your Samsung Galaxy S3 and as such will void your warranty.

So there you have it, if you don’t mind voiding the warranty on your Samsung Galaxy S3, and decided to give CWM Recovery 6.0.1.9 a whirl, feel free to let us know how it all goes, and if you experience any problems by dropping us a line to our comments area below.
