Acer Iconia A3 tablet price and availability

It’s all kicking off ahead of the official start of IFA Berlin, and news of new devices is flooding in thick and fast. Hot on the heels of the announcement of the new and impressive-sounding Acer Liquid S2 smartphone, we now have news about price and availability of the Acer Iconia A3 tablet.

The Acer Iconia A3 is powered by a 1.2GHz cortex A7 quad-core processor, has a 10.1-inch IPS display with resolution of 1280 x 800, 16 or 32GB of internal storage that’s expandable via microSD, plus a 5-megapixel rear camera.

This tablet also features Dolby Digital Plus offering a “virtualized 5.1 channel surround experience over headphones,” built-in micro HDMI port, and Bluetooth 4.0, and runs the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. The design of the Acer Iconia A3 is 10.15mm thick and weighs under 600g, making it easily portable.

The Acer Iconia A3 will be available as a 3G or WiFi version. The WiFi model is due to release at some point in early October for Europe, the Middle East and Africa with a starting price of €249. Those who want the 3G version will have to wait until early November when it will become available for the same regions with a starting price of €299.
