iPad Pro 12.9, UHD 4K resolution at 3840 × 2160

iPad Pro or iPad Air Pro, what ever the name will be one of these will surely release in 2014 as the next Apple iOS tablet. The iPad mini retina released not so long ago, which now leaves the Apple tablet team a little time to go back to the drawing board for something new and special for next year.

The name iPad Pro was first heard off via Unwired View and there are suggestions the new tablet could come with a 12.9-inch display with UHD resolution, and if this is the case that would mean 4K resolution with a pixel count of a minimum 3840 × 2160.

We like the sound of the iPad Pro with a 12.9-inch display, according to The Korea Times this will be Retina, if this new tablet does release with a larger screen featuring UHD (Ultra High-Definition) 4K resolution with at least 3840 × 2160, this would surely put it right between a tablet and a full size Mac PC. It is even better when the latest news reports the iPad Pro could feature 64-bit computing.

For Apple to release a new iPad Pro 12.9 tablet this would go right up against Samsung’s new plans for tablets, Samsung is apparently developing new OLED displays between 10 and 13-inch, which will be used in new Galaxy-branded tablets.

What specs would you like to see on a new iPad Pro 12.9? Could this be the case of iPad 5 12.9-inch vs Samsung 12.2 display contention?
