Sony Xperia Active+ design may appeal
We have been seeing Sony launching a number of new mobile products over the last few months which have had some extra protection for the device from water and dust, but the Sony Xperia Active+ design we have for you today may appeal.
The concept phone design that you can see on this page is the work of Sanjaya Kanishka and is a more rugged handset. It features a 3.5-inch IPS display at a resolution of 480 x 854 providing a pixel density of 280ppi and this is protected by Gorilla Glass.
There is a dual core Snapdragon S4 Plus processor running at a clock speed of 1.2GHz, which is paired with an Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM running the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system. The device is not only shock proof withstanding falls from 5 feet, but the IP 67 rating means it is dust and waterproof.
The handset will operate normally in the most extreme weather conditions of between -25 Celsius up to 55 Celsius, and of course the display can be used with gloved hands. Other specifications of the device would include an 8-megapixel rear facing camera paired with triple LED flashes, and internal storage is at 8GB with further expansion possible via microSD card up to 32GB.
There is a 2,300 mAh battery keeping everything ticking along and a 100dB speaker will make sure you won’t miss any incoming calls or messages.
