#

LG has just introduced three new Series III smartphones before showing them off at MWC 2014 next week. The LG L90, L70 and L40 will all launch running Android 4.4 KitKat, even though they are entry to mid-range devices, and that will be a popular move with some potential buyers.

The pick of the three is the LG L90 and this one has a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 4.7-inch qHD IPS display with resolution of 960 x 540, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage. It also has an 8-megapixel rear camera as well as a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2540 mAh removable battery. Dimensions of this handset are 131.6mm x 66mm x 9.7mm.

Meanwhile the LG L70 has a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 4.5-inch WVGA IPS display with resolution of 800 x 400, 1GB of RAM, and 4GB of internal storage. The L70 either has an 8-megapixel or 5-megapixel camera (depending on market), a VGA front-facing camera, and a 2100 mAh removable battery. Its measurements are 127.2mm x 66.8mm x 9.5mm.

Finally there’s the most modest of the three, the LG L40. This device has a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a 3.5-inch display with 480 x 320 resolution, 512MB or RAM and 4GB of internal storage. It has a 3-megapixel camera (no front-facer) and has either a 1540 mAh or 1700 mAh battery (depending on market). Its dimensions are 109.4mm x 59mm x 11.9mm.

Apart from running Android 4.4 KitKat all three phones will have 3G connectivity and come in black or white colour choices. Optional Quick Window covers will also be offered for these handsets. There’s no word yet on the price for any of these upcoming handsets, but we expect to hear that along with availability and release information when the phones are officially unveiled at MWC.
