Sony still has some love for the Firefox OS it seems as today on their developer blog they showed some very familiar features they’re called “gadgets”.
What are these “gadgets” exactly?, ever heard of widgets on Android? then you pretty much know what these are. As the video down below shows, these gadgets can be added to a home screen or lock screen, you can also be interact with them, move them around and yes even resize them.
Not sure why Sony have used the name “gadgets” but none the less its a nice new feature to the Firefox OS, the code has been uploaded to Bugzilla, so that the Firefox OS community evaluate how to/or if they want to integrate the feature into the master framework.
Still no word on if Sony will actually release a device running Firefox OS, but if that changes we will be sure to let you know.
